For the fourth round of the 2013 Rally America championship, the Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally, Hoonigan Racing Division’s Ken Block and Alex Gelsomino got things started right from the beginning. The duo finished the first stage of the day with a 15-second lead on the rest of the field and that set the pace and tone for the remainder of the stages on Friday, with Block also winning SS3 and SS5 for a total of 3 stage wins on the day.

“Today went really well for us,” said Block. “We’ve had some bad luck at the other three races so far this year, but things are going well here at STPR. My Ford Fiesta HFHV is running great and the stage roads here in Pennsylvania are absolutely incredible. They’re just fast and fun which totally suits my driving style. I’m looking forward to getting back out there for Saturday’s racing and continuing to work on our lead.”

With a 44 second lead over second place, Block and Gelsomino hit the Saturday stages with the plan of running clean and focusing on attempting to bring home their first 1st place finish of the season. To see how they do, follow along here, on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
