SEPT 5th, LOHEÁC, FRANC E: This weekend, Hoonigan Racing Division’s Ken Block returns to World RallyCross competition, entering into the biggest event of the season in Loheác, France. There, he’ll be going door-to-door with some of the best international rallycross racers in the world, including current championship points leader, and former WRC champion, Petter Solberg.
Block has had a great season so far. As he seeks to make the podium once again in World RX, some quick stats on his 2014 season at the midway point:
- Currently ranked 2nd overall in Global Rallycross after 6 of 10 events
- Won GRC Charlotte and made podium in New York and Daytona
- Currently tied as best overall qualifier in GRC with series leader Piquet Jr.
- Took 3rd overall at WorldRX Norway (his debut WorldRX event)
- Won his only stage rally of the year so far (Rally America’s 100 Acre Wood)
- Starred in Castrol’s viral video “Footkhana” with Neymar Jr. (16+ million views)
